In addition to Merano/Meran 2000, ski holidaymakers will find four other ski areas around our hotel in Avelengo/Hafling that are easy to reach in Merano and Environs. While ski holidaymakers enjoy an eventful time out near the hotel up Merano/Meran 2000, the romantic San Vigilio/Vigiljoch is the ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet. The ski area in the mountain village of Plan/Pfelders in Val Passiria/Passeiertal, on the other hand, impresses with a mixture of family-friendly and challenging slopes and is also considered a pioneer in terms of sustainability. The Schwemmalm in Val d’Ultimo/Ultental is known for its challenging downhill runs and rustic mountain huts for refreshments in between. Finally, the ski area on the Val Senales/Schnalstal glacier offers slopes with guaranteed snow at 3,200 metres above sea level. The ski season here runs from September to May. As you can see, it’s worth checking out other ski mountains as well on a skiing holiday near Merano/Meran 2000.
Tip: No more annoying loading and carrying: Our guests have ski cabinets available to them at the Falzeben bottom station (at Merano /Meran 2000), which you can hire for €3.00 per day and cabinet!
Fans of Nordic skiing will also find what they’re looking for not far from our hotel in Avelengo/Hafling. The cross-country skiing trail in Avelengo/Hafling leads for three kilometres through the snow-covered winter forest on a circuit at 1,640 metres above sea level. The trail is suitable for beginners and families with children. At the cable car bottom station you will find skis and all the equipment at one of the ski rental shops.
